Over 500 players had their market values adjusted across the English Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. Jude BellinghamErling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé remained the joint-most valuable players in the world at €180m. Arsenal and Manchester City met in the top of the table clash in England on Sunday and they remain the two most valuable squads in the world and we’ve compiled an overview of the changes at the top ten most valuable clubs.

The top 10 most valuable club squads in the world

1. Manchester City - €1.27b

City’s total market value increased by 0.6% in the Premier League intermediary update as they remained the most valuable club in the world. City have three players valued over €100m in Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Rodri. Foden enjoyed a €20m upgrade, which offset downgrades to Josko Gvardiol, Jack Grealish and Matheus Nunes.

2. Arsenal - €1.12b

Arsenal’s market value increased slightly by 0.8% from €1.11b to €1.12b. Mikel Arteta’s men have been excellent since the winter break and they are firmly in the title race. Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Gabriel - amongst others -  had upgrades during the Premier League update but Thomas Partey, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli dropped.

3. Real Madrid - €1.04b

Real Madrid’s squad remained the most valuable in Spain despite a slight 0.1% drop in the La Liga update. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are strong favourites to win the title with Brahim Diaz and Andriy Lunin the only players to receive upgrades. Seven players were downgraded including David Alaba, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

4. PSG - €1.02b

The total market value of PSG’s squad dropped by 1.1% to €1.02bn but their squad dwarfs the rest of Ligue 1 - second ranked Monaco’s squad is valued at over €650m less than PSG. Randal Kolo Muani dropped by €10m and PSG’s overall squad valuation will plummet if Mbappé departs this summer, as expected.

5. Bayern Munich - €929m

Bayern Munich’s total market value dropped more than any other club in the top ten. It fell by 4.8% to €929.45m, which is reflective of their disappointing season. Bayern look destined to miss out on the title to Bayer Leverkusen and they face a difficult quarter-final clash in the Champions League against Arsenal. Mathys Tel, Leon Goretzka and Alphonso Davies - amongst others - were downgraded but Aleksandar Pavlovic was rewarded for his impressive campaign.

6. Chelsea - €928m

Despite their disappointing season, Chelsea remain the 6th most valuable squad in the world and the third in England. Chelsea have spent wildly over the last few years and they’ve amassed a huge squad of, mainly, talented youngsters. Their total market value dropped by 2% from €947.3m to €938.3m with Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia both dropping by €10m.

7. Liverpool - €921m

Jürgen Klopp’s men enjoyed the third biggest market value rise of any English club in the latest update behind Wolves and Luton Town. Liverpool’s overall market value soared by 6.1% from €868.75m to €921.4m with Conor Bradley enjoying a huge rise of €13m.

8. Barcelona - €840m

Barcelona’s squad is now more than €150m less valuable than arch rivals Real Madrid after a downgrade of 2.8% to €839.5m. Frankie de Jong, Alejandro Balde and Pedri all had major downgrades but young talents Paul Cubarsí and Lamine Yamal received significant upgrades and they represent Barca’s future.

9. Tottenham - €777m

Tottenham solidified their place as the fifth most valuable squad in England with a rise of 2.1% to €777m. Ange Postecoglou has enjoyed a positive debut season with Spurs in a strong position to secure Champions League qualification. Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven and Guglielmo Vicario were all rewarded for their impressive form with substantial upgrades.

10. Manchester United - €734m

Despite being one of the top spenders in Europe across the last decade, Manchester United are narrowly holding onto their place in the top ten. Kobbie Mainoo had the biggest market value upgrade of any player in the world at €29m. But United’s total value dropped by 0.1% with Antony, Sofyan Amrabat and Marcus Rashford all receiving significant downgrades.
