Sam Adekugbe joins Hatayspor - Former Whitecaps leaves Vålerenga after 3 years

Former Vancouver Whitecaps product and Canadian men's national team left-back Sam Adekugbe has found a new club. On Friday, Turkish Süper Lig side Hatayspor announced that they have signed the 26-year-old from Norwegian side Vålerenga. Adekugbe has signed a three-year contract.
Since joining Vålerenga in 2018, Adekugbe has managed 87 appearances (six assists). Adekugbe has also played 16 games for Canada including the two games against Haiti that propelled the CanMNT to the final round of World Cup qualifying for the first time since 1998 World Cup qualifying.
